Would Event Security Be Utilized For Hogwarts?

By Rob Sutter

It's time to talk about Harry Potter because the character has just reached his 33rd birthday. It's a time to celebrate for fans of this acclaimed series and how can blame the fans for doing so? Seeing as how he is one of the most recognizable characters in literature, I don't think that anyone can refuse to do so. Of course, the topic of Hogwarts is always going to be tied to this character and I have to wonder whether or not event security will be a potential group to set in place.

After all, how many times has Harry found himself in trouble within school or near that general idea? You have to keep in mind that there is far more to Hogwarts than simply a string to classrooms. Not only do you look at these rooms but you're looking at a field to play Quidditch, a forest nearby with many creatures both good and bad, and this doesn't even begin to touch upon the underground area. There are many opportunities for days to go wrong and very few could stop them.

There have been those times when magic was utilized when teachers have strictly told students that they were not allowed to. For example, back in "The Sorcerer's Stone," Draco Malfoy taunted Harry during a class where they learned to use their broomsticks to fly. However, they were not permitted to do so unless a teacher was present, which is a problem to say the least. This may sound like a minimal occurrence but you can imagine how much they can build.

There are a number of companies that understand how important safety is, The Protective Group included amongst them. They know that event security can help in many ways and this goes for just about any kind of social gathering you can think of. That being said, can this level of security be put into practice in order for Hogwarts to become better regulated? I believe that there will have to be great tools put into place but otherwise I see no reason why it can't be effective.

Hogwarts, on the surface, sounds like the most dynamic place of education imaginable and I'm sure that we all imagined ourselves going to a place like that. If only fiction wasn't a barrier, who knows how many would have made the transfer? That being said, there has been more than a few problems tied with this school and the many books have detailed them. It's why I feel like this school should have stringent event security set in place, provided the best tools are on hand as well.
