How Would The Mcmahon Family Operate Collection Agencies?

By Rob Sutter

Professional wrestling is one of those fields in which you have to understand that there are both good and bad characters. When it comes to those which you're supposed to dislike, you have the idea that they are going to come across as annoying, at the least. Those are understandable, which is something that cannot be said about the heroes of sorts. The McMahon family has seemingly come across as heroes but I have to wonder if they could actually prove useful in collection agencies.

When you feel as though the heel authority figure is supposed to come across as a face when it's not the case, you know there's a problem. In recent weeks, Vickie Guerrero has been interacting with the McMahon family in the company, which is comprised of Vince, Stephanie and Triple H. They each want the shows to be run in separate ways and they want to make sure that Vickie follows through. Having to take in these mixed messages has got to be tough in a line of work which is already pretty difficult.

This family drew my ire for a number of reasons but I don't think that the audience has fully taken them in as the good guys that they believe they are. Stephanie McMahon, for instance, did nothing to help the Divas division when she spoke down to its champion, AJ Lee. Why would you want to bring down the reputations of upcoming stars when you could do more to build them up? It seems like Stephanie helped no one but herself, which confuses me because I don't think that someone like her needed such an ego boost.

I believe that this type of character would not work well with collection agencies and this is because of one reason in particular. Agencies such as Rapid Recovery have always gone into cases with professionalism intact, showing bias to neither side. It is the one element which this kind of work is known for, as you could probably imagine. As a result, I don't see the McMahon family properly operating this kind of firm any time soon, which may be for the best considering that only particular individuals should be in charge.

The McMahon family is clearly flawed but it's the kind of dynasty that deserves recognition nonetheless. To me, it's one of the most recognizable families in the business today and there's a good reason for this, too. While their skills have been showcased in the wrestling industry, does this necessarily mean that said skills can effectively parlay themselves into collection agencies? I don't think that a family, as powerful as it has shown itself to be, that has actually put championships on themselves would exactly be effective.
