Astrology Will Impact Long Distance Love This Fall

By Lou Raedwulfe

The start of fall brings warmth to the heart, images of sun-kissed memories by the ocean, and the heat and passion of hot summer nights are our fondest of memories. As the impact of social media continues to explode across the globe, long distance romances have increased dramatically. Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, and a host of other outlets have brought people together from locations far and wide. As plans to finally meet, or to reconnect as part of the long awaited fall vacation are made, astrological forces are in play that may make this last quarter of the year of love a lot more chaotic than might be first imagined.

Things may not be as they seem, so, any decisions you may feel compelled to make should be put off until late August when the cosmic dust settles down some. Neptune has been retreating backwards since the beginning of June which causes our thinking to be a bit more cloudy than usual. This combined with another Mercury retrograde in early August should put you on notice.

Neptune makes his impact felt on our emotions, our dreams, romance; both physical and emotional, beauty, and our intuitive nature. We lose ourselves in the promise of love and enjoy the mystery and allure of finally meeting Mr. Right. Even for those who are in established relationships, or where the parties have actually met in the flesh, the rhythmic pull of Neptune's powers can make us throw caution to the winds and immerse ourselves in the sweet wine of passion.

Along with the eclipses this summer promises to challenge the affairs of the heart and in a big way if you are in a long-distance situation. One situation could suddenly end, a new one begin quickly and a past relationship could easily re-surface in late October or early November. If things are not working out for you at a distance, you may suddenly decide to move to be with your love interest or end it and begin with a new person. Either way, it will be eventful.

Additionally, if plans go awry, or connections are missed or delayed, the Neptune retrograde provides a slippery slope to imagined wrongs or problems where none may exist. This can lead to a quick change of heart and plans even if, ultimately, there is a reason for the confusion that may be obscured by the feeling of being deceived, which may or may not be justified.

The two most important features of this fall that will have a profound influence on your long-distance relationship is Neptune in retrograde since the beginning of June and Mercury retrograde during the coolest part of fall. You may experience delays in actual face-to-face connections, plans that falter and just plain frustrating times. Communications may break down. Just give yourself time and things will straighten out as long as you don't try to force issues.

So, what should fall lovers do? Clearly, this is the time of year to spend quality time with your heart's interest. Equally important, if this is a regular meeting or the culmination of a long distance encounter that seems to have bloomed into something quite special. Although hearts, minds and bodies are clamoring to fulfill the promise of finally bridging the miles, it is important to remember that things may not go as smoothly or as planned especially during Mercury retrograde beginning in late October.

Just because things may not quite work out the way you thought they would this summer, does not mean an ending. Communication and short distance travel will be affected, especially during the the last week of October through the first three weeks of November. Not to worry. If your plans seem to be going awry, just put them off for a few weeks and things should resume their normal pattern after Mercury retrograde has passed.

Importantly, the advice and counsel of skilled psychics and astrologers can help you understand the impact that this dance of the planets has on your fall plans. It is true that love will find a way and that during this fall you find that which your heart desires.
