Some Critical Points For Finding The Right Tree Care Company

By Helene Norris

One of the easiest ways to increase the price of any house is to plant a few trees inside the yard. Trees will increase mean property values, decreased mean house hold energy use and help to improve air quality. There are just too many reasons to list. It is vital that when people are looking for a good tree care company they should look at all their options to help them find the best one for them.

Always try considering the risks to the house and yard before you commit to any tree service. You should only hire trained and properly equipped contractors for this work. Realistically this kind of work is more difficult and dangerous than many people actually realize. Ensure they have proper insurance and know how to do the work. Do not risk anyone getting injured just to save yourself some money.

Make sure you are hiring a legitimate company. Check their business license online with the better business bureau. See if they have any complaints against them, and if they do how many are unresolved. Many people do this type of work as a side business. This does not mean that they can not do the job, just know what you are getting into.

Visit one of the job sites the company is working on. Make sure they are keeping it clean and not full of trash and debris. Most companies will put a sign in the yard promoting their business name for people that are driving by. Make sure the employees are using the proper safety equipment.

Try to getting at least 3 separate estimates. Do not take a verbal estimate, always insist for them to give it to you in a written form. This form should show the price, how long the price is good for and the number for their license and insurance. It should also have all their contact information on it. This should not be an issue.

Never give contractors money for uncompleted work. Not it generally against the law in most states, it is also unethical. Typically they do not require any extra material, just manpower to move, load and cut. If they get done with the work and you are not happy, let them know first before you pay for it.

When you get your estimates, go over the details so they match up correctly and are for the same type work. If one is higher than another one, it might be they have added some work the others did not. If one is lower they could have omitted some work the others bid. Insist on specific language regarding any clean up, sometimes they try saving money by using a sub-contractor for this.

A professional tree care company may be the biggest difference between a well pruned healthy tree and buying a new roof. All trees are a valuable resource. Remember they can easily go from precious resource for your family to a massive burden costing you more money every year.
